Actor Kevin Spacey Comes Out As Gay After Actor Anthony Rapp Accuses Him Of Misconduct

Two time Oscar winner Kevin Spacey,58, announced to the world that he “is a gay man.” The revelation was made after fellow actor Anthony Rapp,46, said Spacey made inappropriate sexual advances to him over 30 years ago when he was only 14, and Spacey was 26. A Hollywood insider told the ‘Hollywood Reporter’ today that Spacey being gay was not a secret, everyone in the industry knows that he is gay said the insider. Rapp started his acting career as a child, and was working on Broadway at the time of the alleged assault. Spacey was also appearing on Broadway, but in a different play.

Rapp has had a busy 40 year plus career as an actor, lately best known for his work on the TV show ‘Star Trek: Discovery’. He claims that Spacey invited him to his New York apartment in the 80’s and threw himself on top of the then 14 year old actor. He was able to get out of Spacey’s apartment unharmed but says now the incident affected him for his entire life. He claims that he feels more liberated in light of the recent Harvey Weinstein sexual assault allegations.

Spacey wasted no time doing what many are calling ‘damage control’. The actor took to his social media accounts, and said he “has no recollection of the incident”. Spacey said it was over 30 years ago, and if he did indeed do it, it was inappropriate and the result of ‘drunken behavior’. He also said he had relations with both men and women, but he ‘is now living his life as a gay man’. Spacey’s hit show on Netflix ‘House Of Cards’ will end after season six in 2018. The cancellation was made hours after the sex assault allegations were made against Spacey by Rapp.
