Actors Chris Pratt And Ana Faris Legally Separate After 8 Years Of Marriage

Actor Chris Pratt and his actress wife Ana Faris have decided to end their 8 year marriage. In a joint statement on Facebook the couple wrote “We are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried really hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this as private as possible moving forward. We still love each other and will always cherish our time together. Ana Faris and Chris Pratt”

They also said that they will continue to have the deepest respect for each other, and will be a positive influence for their son. Pratt,38 and Faris,40 met on the set of the film ‘Take Me Home Tonight’ in 2007 and started dating shortly after meeting. They got married in 2009, their son Jack was born premature with serious medical issues in 2012. Faris indicated in a podcast in 2016 that being married was difficult but being married under a global spotlight was very difficult. Faris said that they hit a bump in 2015 when reports started to surface that Pratt had cheated on Faris.

Faris explained a couple not in the spotlight may have been able to weather that storm much easier than a couple in the public spotlight. She said dealing with the rumors, was extremely hard, and trying to shield a child from rumors and innuendo is also very time consuming. Faris added” I take pride in how great my relationship is with Chris, but having said that, of course in this crazy world, where’s he’s off doing movies and I’m here raising our son, it makes me feel vulnerable, any human would.” She said she felt the rumors weren’t true, but the non stop talk was hurtful the actress said.
