Actress Allison Mack Arrested For Involvement In A Sex Trafficking Ring

The arrest of Smallville actress Allison Mack is sending shock waves throughout Hollywood. The actress was arrested in New York for charges of recruiting women to be used as sex slaves for alleged cult leader, Keith Raniere. Mack had visible dark circles under her eyes, when she appeared in Federal Court in Brooklyn to enter a not guilty plea. If convicted of all the charges against her, she is facing a 15 year prison sentence in a federal prison. The actress appeared in court with an attorney for a bail hearing. The judge Cheryl Pollak denied bail, and ordered Mack to stay in federal custody until another bail hearing on Monday.

Mack’s lawyer argued that Mack returned to the US from Mexico voluntarily after learning there was a warrant for her arrest. The prosecution argued that Mack only returned, because she couldn’t afford the 10 K a week villa she was staying at. Mack best known for her role as Chloe Sullivan on the TV show, ‘Smallvile’. Mack who is currently on the FX series ‘Wilfred’, was born in Germany but immigrated to the US when she was 2, settling in Long Beach, CA. Mack is said to be a high ranking member of the alleged cult ‘NXIUM’.

Other members of the group that were arrested with Raniere and Mack are heiresses to the ‘Seagram’s Whiskey fortune, Clare Bronfman and Sara Bronfman Igtet. Prosecutors are demanding that high bail be set for all three, and that they can’t use any ‘NXIUM’ funds for bail. The allegations against Mack are that she personally recruited women to be used for sex for the leader of the group Keith Raniere, The prosecution is also claiming that Mack was always present when the recruited women were branded. Also revealed during the bail hearing, that Mack is married to ‘Battlestar Gallactica’ actress Nicki Clyne who is also a member of the group.
