Actress Naya Rivera Arrested In West Virginia For Domestic Battery Against Her Husband

Naya Rivera,30, was arrested on Saturday for hitting her husband actor Ryan Dorsey. The couple were walking their two year old son Josey down the street near their home. It is sometime during that walk that Rivera hit Dorsey in the head. There was video of the incident captured on a phone, and the evidence was presented to police as they arrived on the scene. Rivera was immediately  arrested and booked for domestic battery. Dorsey also claimed that his wife hit his bottom lip.  The child was reportedly unharmed and is currently with his father.

Rivera appeared before a judge at around midnight wearing dark gray clothing, she was also handcuffed. Bail was set at $1000, after it was paid, Rivera’s father in law picked up at the court house. Rivera’s career started in 1991 when she was only 4 years old. Her first part was on the TV show ‘Royal Family’ playing Hilary Winston. She appeared on the hit show ‘Glee’ staring in 2009 until 2015 playing Santana Lopez. Rivera and Dorsey dated off and on for four years, and married in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in 2014.

They filed for divorce two years later in 2016, but shortly afterwords, Rivera pulled the plug on the divorce, saying they were trying to ‘figure things out.’ While she and Dorsey were separated she dated actor David Spade, and appeared in a film that he wrote in 2017 called ‘Mad Families’ with Charlie Sheen. Shortly after she dated Spade and the film wrapped up she returned to Dorsey. She said that she was a ‘real homebody, she liked to cook and do things with her family, “I like to stay in.” She said she was devoting all of her free time to her family.
