Amanda Bynes Admitted To Mental Health Facility After Suffering Drug Relapse

As actress Amanda Bynes seemed to be on the mend from a very public mental health crisis, she has relapsed. The California native was on the cover of ‘Paper Magazine’ in November and talked positively about her future. Her family told ‘TMZ’ that Amanda was admitted to a mental health and rehab facility at the end of January. Her mother said Amanda has been having ‘severe issues’ a few months before January. Amanda was trying to relaunch her stalled acting career. She had been going on several audtions, and was taking in several meetings.

Her mother believes her re-entry into a public life and trying to resume her career, ‘was too much too fast for her.’ She hadn’t given herself enough time to heal, her mother believes. Her mother Lynn Organ, said her and Amanda’s father Dr. Rick Bynes continue to support ‘their daughter 100%.’ The parents said they thought it was possible for Amanda to suffer some setbacks ‘on her journey back’. It was to be expected they said, given all that she went through in the last few years. Amanda who will be turning 33 in April, is getting help for drug addiction and her on-going mental health issues.

Organ says that her ‘daughter is in a good safe place. Getting all the time, attention and therapy she needs to recover.’ In November, Amanda told ‘Paper’ that her 2006 movie, ‘She’s the Man’ sent her spiraling out of control into a deep dark depression, ‘that was impossible to recover from without intense help.’ She blamed her public meltdown on a severe drug dependency. She told the magazine that she had been clean and sober for nearly 4 years at the time of the ‘Paper’ interview. Bynes had erratic behavior and a public meltdown in 2013. Her personal and financial matters were in a conservator-ship that her parents controlled Her parents relinquished their control to a professional mental health case worker in 2014.
