Angelina Jolie’s Charity 2.2 Million In Debt As Her Custody Battle Rages On

Angelina Jolie’s charity now known as J.D.H. Ltd is 2.2 million dollars in debt after she used a million dollars of her own money to keep the charity a float. The charity has 66,000 in assets but owes creditors millions, the debt must be paid off by the end of this year. Jolie also changed the name of the charity from JP DH Ltd to J.D.H. Ltd, which reflects that Jolie dropped her married name Jolie-Pitt to Jolie. The other initials included her charity adviser Arminka Helic. Jolie has been involved in charitable efforts around the world for the last 17 years, Brad Pitt always supported her charitable work.

Jolie’s advisers helped revamp Jolie’s ‘wild child of Hollywood’ image to a more sedate image of a woman whose main focus is helping orphaned children effected by war. Jolie and her estranged husband Brad Pitt are locked in a contentions battle over their 6 children. They are scheduled to appear in court in California in December at a custody hearing. The couple’s oldest child Maddox Jolie-Pitt will be 18 in August 2019, he currently drives, and will be allowed to determine who he spends time with.

The couple have two other adopted children, daughter Zahara,13 adopted from Ethiopia, Pax,14, adopted from Vietnam, 10 year old twins, Vivian and Knox, and daughter Shiloh,12. Jolie and Pitt have been trying to resolve their custody issues for two years since they announced their split in 2016. They were legally married for 2 years, and got together in 2005 after meeting on the set of ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’. Pitt was married to actress Jennifer Aniston when the estranged couple met. The dueling ex’s will be squaring off in December, although they have tried to get a private judge to settle their divorce issues. Donations to Jolie’s charity have ‘dropped off substantially since she has been publicly battling it out with Pitt’, says a source.
