‘Bachelor’ Arie Luyendyk Jr & Lauren Burnham Are Expecting First Child Together

The season 22 ‘Bachelor’ Arie Luyendyk and fiancee Lauren Burnham have announced that they are expecting a baby. Luyendyk’s season started airing on January 1, 2-18, it has been billed as ‘The most shocking season’ of the popular ABC show. Retired professional race car driver Arie proposed to Becca
Kufrin only to dump her at the last minute and propose to runner up Burnham. The proposal aired after the season ended on the ‘After The Rose’ in March 2018.

During the proposal Arie said, “I’ve made some bad decisions, but the best decisions was running back to you. I can’t imagine life without you. I truly believe you are my soul mate. I’m ready to face this life with you and all that comes with it. The good and the bad, I love you so much.” The couple announced earlier this year that they planned on getting married on January 19, 2018 in Maui, Hawaii. In June the couple bought a home together in Phoenix, Arizona. Burnham held a lavish bridal shower in August with her family and friends.


Lauren said, “We’re just really happy with each other and we vibe well together. We’re best friends so we’re just ready for that next step. Luyendyk was born in Amsterdam and grew up in Brookfield, Wisconsin. His father Arie Luyendyk Sr. was also a race car driving winning the Indianapolis 500. Arie first hit ‘The Bachelor Nation’ during season 8 of the ‘Bachelorette trying to get the final rose from Emily Maynard, he came in third. Luyendyk is now a Realtor with RE/MAX in Scottsdale, Arizona. Of the pregnancy, Lauren said ‘she had an idea that she may be pregnant so she took a home pregnancy test, and it came back positive. To make sure she took 6 more and all were positive. Arie said ‘we weren’t trying’ but we are so excited.’
