Caitlyn Jenner Order To Pay 800 Thousand For 2015 Deadly Car Crash

Two years after a multi car crash that killed a driver, Bruce Jenner now Caitlyn Jenner has been ordered to pay up. The judgment is for the family of another car crash victim, but not the fatality. The accident happened not far from Jenner’s Malibu home along the scenic Pacific Coast Highway. Jenner who had not yet publicly disclosed that she was transgendered, was driving a Cadillac Escalade sport utility vehicle. It was determined at a later date that Jenner was driving at an unsafe speed for the conditions.

Jenner ran into a car, and caused severe damage, the accident caused a chain reaction. One of the cars involved in the crash was driven by Elga Maurer, who suffered a severe neck injury in the crash. She is to receive a payment in the amount of $500 K from Jenner. Another driver, Peter Wolf and a passenger his wife, Lea will receive 100 K each, and their 2 children who were also in the car, will receive 50 K each. Jenner also has previously settled with the family of the driver that died in the crash.

A Lexus driven by Kim Howe was pushed into oncoming traffic when Jenner crashed into the first car. Howe died at the scene, Jenner released a statement shortly after the accident in 2015. The former Gold Medal Olympian said, “My heart felt and deepest sympathy go out to the family and loved ones of all those invoked or injured in this terrible accident. It is a devastating tragedy and I can not pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time. I will continue to cooperate in every way possible.” There was the possibility at the time of the accident that Jenner could face manslaughter charges. However the D.A. Ruled that Jenner was negligent but engaged in nothing criminal that day.
