Caitlyn Jenner has been keeping a low profile since her reality show ‘I am Cait’ on E was canceled after 2 seasons. She is back in the spotlight once again, her new tell all book ‘Secrets of My Life’ will be released on April 25th. Two years after she first came out as a transgender woman to Diane Sawyer, she will sit down with the journalist again. The second interview will air on ABC April 21st, to coincide with the release of her book.
Jenner told Sawyer that she had her final surgery to remove male genitalia and build female genitalia in January 2017. In her new book Jenner writes “The surgery was a success, and I feel not only wonderful but liberated.” Jenner, 67. said she is discussing the surgery for her fans who have asked her about it, since she came out 2 years ago. However she doesn’t plan on discussing it any further in the future. Jenner said the surgery came with many health risks, but the risks were worth the final results, because she could really not be true to herself without the surgery.
Jenner was given a 4 million cash advance to ‘write’ her book, she said now she is ‘living her authentic self’ and she feels free. Jenner was looked at as a courageous person when she came out two years ago, credited with helping others in the same boat that are struggling with who they are. However the tides turned on Jenner very quickly. She received a ton of backlash on social media with most people saying Jenner was doing everything she did for publicity. Her show on E, at first had high ratings, but quickly started losing ground with the continued back lash, until the show was canceled.
