Demi Lovato’s Family Urges Her To Move Away From Hollywood After Rehab

Singer Demi Lovato’s 9.5 million Hollywood Hills mansion has hit the market this week. The home was where Lovato suffered a near fatal drug overdose on July 24th. A source is speaking out, saying that the singer’s family are insisting she remove herself from Hollywood and all the bad influences that comes with it. The source says Lovato’s mother Dianna Hart is the one that is most vocal about her daughter’s need to live a more quiet and peaceful life. Lovato was hospitalized for nearly three weeks after her overdose.

Lovato is currently at an inpatient rehab facility in Arizona. While Lovato was still in the hospital her mother hired an attorney. The attorney was hired for sake of the gaining a legal conservatorship over her’ daughter. The plan was tabled after Lovato agreed to follow the plan for her rehabilitation. The family insisted that Lovato put her loved home on the market, which she agreed to, but she doesn’t want to move away from LA. She told her family that a city is not her problem, she can get drugs anywhere. She said LA is her home, and if she is completely recovered it doesn’t matter where she lives.

The source revealed ‘every time Demi says she is staying LA, her mother threatens her with a conservatorship.” Demi plans on staying out of the spotlight for the time being, not touring, recording, until she gets a green light from a team of therapists that are now a part of her medical team. Lovato purchased her home two years ago, and considered it her personal sanctuary according to friends. The home sits on hillside over looking Laurel Canyon and has views to the ocean. Lovato bought the home for 8.3 million and did a complete overhaul of the home. It has four bedrooms and six bathrooms, and sits at the end of a dead end street, offering extreme privacy.
