‘Dog The Bounty Hunter’s’ Wife Beth Chapman Says She Has A 50/50 Chance Of Surviving Cancer

Beth Chapman,50, was told in September that she had stage two throat cancer. In a new special on ‘A&E’ Chapman and her husband Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman are opening up about the ‘fight for their lives’. Duane,64, a world renowned professional bounty hunter, said “Cancer picked on the wrong woman.” It is unknown if Beth ever smoked cigarettes, but her husband’s chronic three pack a day cigarette habit was featured on their reality show ‘Dog The Bounty Hunter’.

At the very least Beth was exposed to second hand smoke, one of the known causes of throat cancer. Beth says she plans on fighting for her life with everything that she has, even though she says she has extreme fear. She had a large tumor at the back of her throat that was blocking her breathing. She did have surgery to remove the tumor and try to stop the spreading of the disease. However doctors advised her that the type of cancer she has is very aggressive. The couple who have been married since 2006 will chronicle their journey with Beth’s cancer on a special airing on ‘A&E’ on November 27th.

The special will take the couple’s fans on the struggle that  Beth, Duane and their four children have been on. The special, “Dog and Beth: Fight of Their Lives.” will start with Beth’s diagnosis and her treatment regiments. One of their many famous friends Shannon Tweed Simmons, wife of Gene Simmons of ‘KISS’, will be on the show as well. Simmons can be seen giving Beth encouragement as she fights her latest battle. Duane says on the special, when the doctors came out and said “I’m sorry Dog.” That’s when Duane says ‘he knew’, he knew it was bad and maybe Beth would be leaving.
