George Clooney Threatens Lawsuit Against French Tabloid For Printing Pictures Of His Twins

Actor George Clooney is fuming over the publication of pictures of his twin babies, Ella and Alexander. The babies were born on June 6, 2017 with wife Amal Clooney. The French magazine ‘Voici’ hired paparazzi photographers to scope out Clooney’s Lake Como estate in Italy and get pictures of the children. In a statement Clooney released he said “ over the last week, photographers from ‘ Voici Magazine’ scaled our fence, climbed our tree and illegally took pictures of our infants inside our home.”

He added “ make no mistake, the photographers, the magazine, the agency, will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, the safety of our children demands it.” The magazine’s cover featured Clooney, 56 and his lawyer wife, Amal,39, holding the children. It has been confirmed that the pictures were taken on the private Italian estate of the couple. The Clooneys have not released any pictures of the babies publicly, but did confirm the June 6 birth of the twins. Most American publications do not publish pictures of celebrities children without the consent of the parents. If the children appear at a public event, then no permission is necessary.

The cover features George and Amal each holding one baby, and the magazine is currently boosting that this is the first publication of the twins. Some experts are saying that Clooney publicly going after the magazine is drawing more attention to the French magazine. The experts are saying millions of people will now get a look at the babies. If Clooney would have privately and quietly proceeded with legal action, the magazine would have garnered much less attention. Clooney has feuded with the paparazzi for decades. He publicly blamed the media for causing Princess Diana’s death in 1997. He held a press conference days after her burial asking the media “How do you sleep at night?”
