Actor Brandon Mychel-Smith,28 was arrested this week in Burbank, CA for being over twice the legal limit of ‘blood alcohol concentration.’ The actor was arrested on site after failing a road sobriety test, he was able to post bond and was released the following morning. The LAPD pulled Smith over after he was observed reversing his Rolls Royce out of a red light intersection. The actor was once being considered to replace Nick Cannon on ‘America’s Got Talent.’ Smith a former child actor, who got his first break in a series of Disney projects, would eventually appear along side Miley Cyrus in’ Hannah Montana.’
He also appeared in ‘Sonny With A Chance’ with Demi Lavoto. He’s currently appearing in the romantic comedy film ‘You’re the Worst’. Smith started acting when he was 8 years old after a friend of the family thought he could do very well in the entertainment industry. He won critical praise for his 2014 portrayal of singer ‘Little Richard’ in the film ‘Get On Up’. In 2011 he appeared on the ABC show ‘Skating With The Stars’. He talked about his role in the film ‘Get On Up’ which was a film about James Brown.
Of playing the part of ‘Little Richard’ the ‘King Of Rock And Roll’ Smith said, “it was absolutely an honor and true pleasure to put myself in someone’s shoes who pioneered a sound. I knew it was going to be a fete, and to take myself out of my shoes for a year, dive into a world that created so many other great artists like Jimi Hendrix, James Brown, Otis Redding, and so many others, was really an awesome experience.” Smith will appear in court next week to enter a plea for the DUI charge.
