Jenna Dewan Officially Files For Divorce 6 Months After Announcing Split From Husband

After actors Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum announced their separation 6 months ago, Dewan officially pulled the trigger. The estranged couple were married for 9 years, after meeting on the film
‘Step Up’ in 2006. The Blast reported that Dewan filed the divorce papers in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday. The reason for the split in the filing said ‘irreconcilable differences’. Dewan’s lawyer Samantha Spector filed the papers on behalf of the actress is seeking joint physical custody of the ex-couple’s daughter Everly,5.

Tatum immediately filed a response, he’s also seeking joint custody of his daughter. Dewan is requesting spousal support and child support. She has also requested that her name be restored to Dewan from Dewan-Tatum. The two insisted that the reason for their split is not due to any ‘other parties’, they released a joint statement in April that read in part. “Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now. There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision.”

A source close to the two, said both Jenna and Channing have started dating again. Jenna the source said ‘has gone on a few dates, but doesn’t talk about a boyfriend. Tatum has been spotted with singer Jessie J, and a source confirmed the two are dating. Fans reacted quickly with the Jessie J revelation, saying the singer bares a striking resemblance to Dewan. Tatum and Jessie were seen playing miniature golf earlier this month. A rep for Tatum confirmed ‘the two are dating, but they would prefer to keep their relationship private.’ A friend of the two said, “while they may be dating other people, it’s nothing serious now, and their central focus is co-parenting their daughter. They are able to get along very well for Everly’s sake.”
