Jenna Dewan Thanks Her Fans For Their Support As She Navigates Divorce From Channing Tatum

Actress and dancer Jenna Dewan appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday with Jennifer Lopez. The actresses were promoting their new show, ‘World Of Dance’. DeGeneres had to apologize to the mother of one, for introducing her as Jenna Dewan Tatum. The talk show host said, “I’m so sorry, I introduced you and it was such a habit. I have to say the way you and Channing are handling everything is beautiful for your daughter, and the statements have been great, and a I apologize.”

DeGeneres went on to say that she has known the now ex couple for so long, that it was a slip of the tongue and she meant no harm. Dewan seemed to take the slip in stride by being very gracious with DeGeneres. Dewan said, “Honestly, thank you and thank everybody for all of the support. It’s truly so amazing, it’s all love.” After she made her remarks, Jennifer Lopez who was seated next to her, gave her a warm hug. Dewan and Tatum were married for 9 years, after meeting on the film ‘Step Up’. They have a daughter Everly Tatum,4.

Dewan changed her name from Jenna Dewan Tatum to just Jenna Dewar about three weeks after announcing her split from the ‘Magic Mike’ star. The ex couple said of their split, “We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple. There are no secrets or salacious events at the root of our separation.” Dewan will host ‘World Of Dance’, Lopez is the executive producer and a judge. The show will feature dancers of all ages that compete for a grand prize of one million dollars. Derek Hough of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ will also be a judge, along with NE-YO. The show on NBC premiers on May, 30th.
