Jersey Shore’s Mike Sorrentino May Have To Marry Fiancee Lauren Pesce In Prison

Mike ‘Situation’ Sorrentino is still happily engaged to his long time girlfriend Lauren Pesce. The date for the wedding is supposed to take place is early November. They are planning on getting married after Sorentino and his brother Marc are sentenced on October 2, 2018. The charges involve several tax fraud and forging tax documents. Often times defendants in federal cases are given 30 to 60 days to report to prison after they are sentenced, however there are no guarantees. A federal Grand Jury indicted the brothers for failing to pay taxes on almost 9 million dollars of earnings.

The couple worked out the details, concerning when they should get married, and decided to take the chance and marry after the brothers are sentenced. A friend of Lauren’s said, “She’s having second thoughts now. She’s thinking maybe they should get married before the sentence date, in case Sorrentino has to report to prison right away. Mike pled guilty to one count of tax evasion in January and could possibly be sentenced to five years behind bars. His lawyer Henry Klingerman said his client will go to prison, ‘He definitely will go, we are hoping it’s less than 5 years, but he will go.”

Sorrentino and his brother are out on bail and Mike had to get special permission from the court to film ‘Jersery Shore; Family vacation’ from the court. The second season of the show is currently airing on MTV. Marc Sorrentino pled guilty to one count of aiding in the preparation of a fraudulent tax return, and also faces a five year sentence. Sorrentino proposed to Lauren in April, in August Sorrentino said “wedding preparations are going fantastic’ everything is on schedule. All I know is happy wife happy life, so whatever she wants, we will try to get it for her.”
