Jersey Shore’s Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino Engaged To Lauren Pesce

There is some wedding bell news for the residents at ‘The Jersey Shore’. Everyone’s favorite bad boy, Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino is engaged to his girlfriend of several years Lauren Pesce. Sorrentino said that he has aspired to be engaged ‘on the Jersey Shore for quite some time now.’ The reality star said the show is the vehicle that introduced him to everyone, so it’s only fitting that is where he became engaged. Sorrentino in an official statement said, “I’m currently living the dream, and proposed to my college sweetheart Lauren Pesce, among my friends on the biggest reality show in the country. We are so happy and proud to share this chapter of our story with the country.”

The New York based couple dated for several years before Sorrentino was tapped to join the Jersey Shore cast in 2009. When the show took off and started to have the fame and popularity it did, the couple took a break. When the show wrapped for the first time in 2012, the couple reignited their relationship and have been together ever since. Sorrentino is telling friends that Pesce has been by his side faithfully through his many difficulties through the years. Sorrentino has been to rehab twice for substance abuse issues. He and older brother are facing some serious prison time for income tax invasion.

You inspire me everyday to be my best. I’m over the moon and filled with emotion, that the world is finally able to see your true self at your core.” She went on to say that the reality star is her best friend, and she looks forward to the next chapter.
