John Schneider Continues To Compete On ‘DWTS’ As Estranged Wife Claims He’s Hiding Money

The former ‘Dukes of Hazard’ star actor John Schneider is still going strong on the current season of ‘Dancing With The Starts.’ In June of 2018 Schneider spent three days in jail for failure to pay child support to his second wife Elvira Schneider. The actor’s estranged wife is locked in a cantankerous battle with Schneider over money. She is claiming in recently filed court documents that she is entitled to half of his earnings. This week through her attorney, she said she hasn’t received a penny from his ‘DWTS’ earnings.

Every star that dances on the show is paid $125,000 just for signing on to do the show. They are paid additional money for each week that they are still in the competition. Elvira was successful in obtaining a wage garnishment against her husband. He is still in arrears of $180,000 in back spousal and child support. A legal expert that talked to ‘The Blast’ said if Schneider continues to hide assets and not pay his wife half of his earnings ‘he’s looking at more jail time.’ The estranged couple married 1993 and separated in 2014, the have one daughter together Karis.

Schneider has been in a relationship with his current girlfriend, Alicia Allain since 2015. In the court filings Elvira claims that Schneider is hiding money from her with Alicia’s help. The documents state, “He transferred his earnings to that of a third party or a third party entity, and the earnings are not going to his name.” A source close to the situation are claiming that Alicia is helping Schneider transfer his money into her accounts, deliberately to avoid making payments to Elvira who is still legally married to the actor, claims in her latest legal documents that she has amassed legal bills over $400,000. A legal source says Schneider “may just be dancing his way right into the slammer.”
