Cosby alum actress Keshia Knight Pulliam is involved in nasty custody battle with her ex husband. Knight and her ex Ed Hartwell were legally divorced in April of 2018, after being married for less than two years. The ex couple become engaged on December 31, 2015, and married the next day on January 1, 2016. When Knight was five months pregnant with the couple’s child, Hartwell filed for divorce. The couple’s daughter Ella Grace was born on January 23, 2017. Hartwell just filed new documents, to ask the court for a new trial.
According to the documents filed in LA Superior court, Hartwell is asking for another hearing, to get his child support payments reduced. During the initial divorce proceedings Knight was awarded primary custody of her daughter. Hartwell was ordered to pay $3007.00 a month in child support. One of the expenses listed for the support hearing was full time nanny for Ella Grace. Hartwell said in the new legal documents that Knight doesn’t work enough to need a full time nanny. Her last acting credit was in 2018 in ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ where she ended up in 10th place. Before that she had a small role in the TV show ‘Here We Go Again’ in 2016.
Knight fired back at Hartwell saying that he filed for divorce when she was pregnant with their daughter, and after she was born questioned the child’s paternity. Knight publicly supported her former costar Bill Cosby during his sexual assault trial. She was seen walking in to the court house with him daily and being a vocal supporter. Knight claims that after doing that, her acting work dried up, and she’s been blackballed in Hollywood. Hartwell claimed that Knight slept around early on in the relationship. Hartwell demanded that the baby have a paternity test, through DNA it was determined that Hartwell is the father.
