‘Long Island Medium’s’ Larry Caputo Says Reality TV Is A Curse

The ex-husband of ‘Long Island Medium’ star Theresa Caputo, says finding instant fame and all the trappings that come with it, has been a curse. He says he’s proof of that, and said in a new interview, that once you go down the list of reality shows, there are ‘nothing but victims.’ The former couple’s reality show has been on ‘TLC’ since 2011. Their two children Larry Jr. and Victoria have regularly appeared on the top rated show.

In 2017 the couple announced they were separating after 28 years of marriage. The divorce was finalized in December of 2018, Larry moved to Los Angeles once the divorce was finalized. Larry says,
“Once you’re in the public eye anything can be revealed. I have no nothing to worry about. I’m not doing anything stupid or crazy. I feel secure that way, there’s nothing you’re going to get on me. But it’s ruined so many people’s lives.” Larry formerly was an international food distributor, he also worked cleaning up m motorcycles.

Larry claims the intense media scrutiny didn’t help his marital problems, and he believes it’s what put the finale nail in the relationship. The now retired Larry says, “When you’re in the public eye, it does put a strain on your personal life. That can be hard for the average person, who is not a trained actor. Because a trained actor knows exactly what they are getting into. A reality person doesn’t realize what they are getting themselves into, until they are in, and it’s a learning process.” Larry addmitted that he was separated from his wife, and still appeared on the show last sesaon. Larry claims the producers want him to be a part of the show for next season. He hasn’t made up his mind yet, he said the fans are really upset that he and his wife divorced.’
