Actress Lori Loughlin and her clothing designer husband, Mossimo Giannulli appeared in a Boston courtroom this week. The couple of over twenty years, plead not guilty to various charges of fraud, and both surrendered their passports. They have been charged with paying close to a half million dollars for their daughters to fraudulently be excepted to USC. Their younger daughter Olivia Jade Giannulli has told friends that ‘she is mortified by the scandal’ she dropped out of the private University in March.
The 19 year old has millions of followers on social media and raked in millions of dollars from several companies that she partnered with. Most of the companies severed their ties with Jade, as the scandal continued to heat up. She has moved out of her parent’s mansion and has been hiding out with her singer boyfriend, Jackson Guthy at his Malibu home. A source confirmed on Friday that, ‘Oliva is has been staying with Guthy and isn’t currently talking to either parent. She has not been seen out with friends, and is in ‘hide out mode’. She has been discussing her plight on social media, but only with her close circle of friends.’
According to Olivia’s friends, they have encouraged her not to be mad at her parents, because they were doing what they thought was best for her. Olivia ‘told friends, she’s the victim in all of this, and feels like her parents are to blame for her career disintegrating second by second.’ Olivia and her older sister Bella, also a former student at USC, were very close to their parents. Now they feel resentment for both parents, and blame them for all of their problems. A source familiar with the case, said ‘Lori is in denial about going to prison. She doesn’t feel she deserves any jail time, and more than likely will not take a deal, but to go trial.’
