Louis C.K. In Hot Water Again Over Insensitive Remarks About Parkland Survivors

Comedian Louis C.K. finds himself in some hot water, after video of one of his stand up shows leaked.
Louis has been trying to quietly revive his career after sexual assault allegations came to light in November of 2017. In the leaked video C.K. Can be heard mocking high school kids that survived the gun massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school in Parkland, Fla. The shooting by a student occurred on February 14, 2017, 16 student and 1 teacher died, 17 others were seriously injured.

C.K.’s rant focused on students, Emma Gonzalez and David Hogg, who became anti gun activists shortly after the shooting. One person on social media said ‘ I just listened to the leaked video of Louis C.K. It’s clear by listening that he plans on only touring red states.” The show that C.K. was doing allegedly was performed on December 16, 2018, at New York’s Governor Comedy Club. The remarks about the students came after the comedian talked about the youth of this generation. After that he started to tear into the students. He said’ those kids that survived are not interesting just because they went to a school where kids got shot.’

C.K. said the kids are too politically correct, he then said, “You’re not interesting because you went to a high school where kids got shot. Why does that mean I have to listen to you? How does that make you interesting? You didn’t get shot, you pushed some fat kids in the way and now I got to listen to you talk?” He continued, “Everybody gets when there is a shooting at a high school. I don’t see that it’s worse than anyone else dying, I don’t. The backlash was swift, with one student who survived Jeremy Wein, saying “17 people died, a friend watched his brother die in front of him, **uk you Louis.”
