Melanie Griffith Approves Of Dakota Johnson’s Boyfriend Chris Martin

Actress Melanie Griffith approves of her daughter Dakota Johnson’s boyfriend. As sources confirm, the relationship is heating up, Johnson’s mom approves. Griffith spoke out about her daughter’s relationship at the ‘Global Gift Foundation USA Women’s Empowerment Luncheon.’ Griffith said of ‘Cold Play’ front-man Chris Martin, “I adore him”. Griffith said her daughter ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ actress, is very private about her personal life. Griffith says she respects her daughter’s privacy, so other than saying she likes Martin, she would not comment further.

The rumor mill started buzzing about Johnson and Martin dating in December of 2017. There were sightings of the pair together all over the world. Starting at a ‘sushi date in Los Angeles, and in Israel a month later at a Nick Cave concert. The pair were seen holding hands and being very warm and friendly with one another. Martin was formally married to actress Gwyneth Paltrow. The former couple have a son Moses and daughter Apple together. Paltrow is engaged to producer Brad Falchuk, Martin is supposedly going to be the best man at his former wife’s wedding.

Dakota’s father actor Don Johnson also approves of Martin, Johnson said he has met the musician and he’s ‘a good guy’. Paltrow has told friends that she doesn’t really know Johnson, but the two have mutual friends. The friends insist that Paltrow trusts Martin’s judgment when it comes to bringing women around their children. She just wants Chris to be happy, if he’s happy she’s happy for him. Griffith was married to Johnson’s father twice, once in 1976, that first marriage lasted only 6 months. They married for a second time in 1989, it was during the second marriage that Dakota was born. Griffith’s mother is the iconic actress Tippy Hendren, famous for ‘The Birds’ and ‘Marnie’.
