Model Kate Upton And Baseball Player Justin Verlander Marry In Italy

Kate Upton and her finance, professional baseball player Justin Verlander tied the knot in Tuscany, Italy on Saturday. The ‘Sports Illustrated’ Swimsuit model,25 and Verlander,34, celebrated their special day with family and close friends at the ultra elegant ‘Rosewood Castiglion Del Bosco.’ The ceremony which included hand written vows by the bride and groom was held at a medieval church which overlooks the Montalcino Valley. Upton was outfitted in an original Valentino gown, and during the ceremony, Verlander gave her an Anito Ko wedding band.

Upton told Martha Stewart in May that she wanted an amazing amount of flowers at her wedding. The model/actress said she wanted many petals on the floor, before her niece walks down the isle in her flower girl position. At the same time she reveled that her finance Verlander was terribly allergic to flowers. Upton told Stewart that ‘Justin better just take a lot of allergy medication, because there will be many many flowers at our wedding.” The couple started dating on and off in 2011, and became a study couple in 2014. Three months ago Upton appeared on the ‘Today Show’ and said planning a wedding is really really difficult.

She also talked about the guest list, being the hardest part of the wedding planning process. Upton said” you suddenly start feeling evil, regarding who you’re inviting and who you’re not. You can’t invite every single person to a destination wedding, so it can be a very tough process.” She also said that Justin was not really enjoying the wedding process, “he’s too busy with baseball season and practice, to really be invoked with all the planning.” Of the couple’s ten year age difference Upton said “due to career challenges, the age difference has not been an issue, because of the fact that we are both at the top of our games with respect to careers.”
