Aly Raisman was part of the 2012 Gold medal gymnastic team, she is the second team member to come forward with sexual harassment allegations. Raisman won three gold medals at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London. Raisman says that the team doctor Larry Nassar sexually abused her, she is telling her story to ’60 Minutes’ which will air Sunday.

Raisman said that all the women and men who have been coming forward in the last few months has given her strength to also come forward. Raisman also participated in the summer 2016 Olympic games at Rio de Janeiro wining gold and bronze. The Needham, Massachusetts native said Dr. Nassar had been sexually abusing her since she was 15 years old. Another reason Raisman said she came forward is because of all the young girls that idolize her. She said “I see these young girls that come up to me and they ask for pictures or autographs, or whatever it is.” Raisman said she owes it to them to speak her truth so they know they have a voice too.
