Pete Davidson Talks About His Break Up With Ariana Grande On ‘SNL’

Pete Davidson dropped by ‘The Weekend Update Desk’ on ‘Saturday Night Live’. Davidson clearly has a few things on his mind, when he started talking. Davidson according to ‘SNL sources was supposed to talk about the upcoming Midterm Elections that are taking place on Tuesday. He started off his appearance by saying he has a lot more time to pay attention to the midterm elections, since ‘moving back in with his mom.’ He had some funny digs pointed at politicians that appeared like Rick Scott and Andrew Cuomo.

Davidson then turned his monologue to something more personal. Of his breakup with Grande he said”The truth is it’s nobody’s business.” He then added, “Sometimes things just don’t work out. She’s a wonderful strong person and I wish her all the happiness in the world.” He ended his remarks by reminding viewers to vote on Tuesday. Sources close to Grande said that she was aware that Davidson might be talking about their breakup on ‘SNL’. She dropped a single about Davidson and Mac Miller an hour before the live broadcast of ‘SNL’.

The single is called, “Thank you-Next”, it talks about the fallout from the breakup with Davidson. Another ex is mentioned on the track, rapper Mac Miller who died of in September. The song includes the lines, “Now I listen and laugh/even almost got married/And for Pete I’m so thankful/ Which I could say, Thank you to Malcolm/cause he was an angel. Grande insisted before the song was released that it’s not a song to disparage her ex boyfriends, but it’s more a song of gratitude. Another verse, “One taught me love/ one taught me patience/one taught me pain/now, I’m so amazing/I’ve loved and lost. The ex couple had an agreement not to talk about the relationship publicly, but Davidson has been taking jabs at Grande, a Grande source said ‘she is more annoyed than anything, but happy to move on.
