Pink Will Be Honored With A Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce just announced that singer Pink will be receiving a star on the world famous ‘Hollywood Walk of Fame’. Pink has been recognized for her contribution to the music industry. The three time Grammy winner has been making music for over 25 years. Ana Martinez who is a producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, made a statement. It read in part, “We are thrilled to honor one of the world’s most popular entertainers, Pink!” The ceremony for fans, friends and family of Pink will be held on February 5.

The ceremony will take place at the site of Pink’s star in front of the Hollywood and Highland complex. This will be the 2,656th star on Hollywood Blvd. Pink’s star will be noted with an ‘R’ indicating she is being recognized for her contributions to the music recording industry. Martinez went on to say, “She is a unique performer who leaves you in a state of joy and surprise at the same time. She mesmerizes the audience with her voice and her action packed performances. Fans worldwide will join us in droves in Hollywood to see her honored on her special ‘Walk of Fame’ day.”

Ellen DeGeneres a close friend of Pink’s will be giving a speech at the event. Actress Kerri Kenny-Silver will also honor Pink during the ceremony. The President and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Rana Ghadban will host the event. Pink started her music career with the girl band Choice in 1995, when she was just 15. She soon was signed with ‘LaFace Records, and her solo career took off. Her first album ‘Can’t take Me Home’ in 2000 would became a double platinum album, and listed on the 100 albums on ‘Billboard’. Pink has been married to professional motor cross racer Cary Hart since 2006. They have a daughter, Willow,8, and a son Jameson,3.
