Priyanka Chopra’s Show ‘Quantico’ Canceled Right Before Leaving For Friend’s UK Wedding

The popular ‘ABC’ show ‘Quantico’ was canceled late Friday, many fans are stunned by the news. Priyanka Chopra is heading to England for the wedding of her close friend Meghan Markle. The actress who is from India was an international star with Bollywood, before making her US debut with her role on the ABC show. The drama which centers around terrorism made it’s debut in 2015. The third season of the show is currently airing, the network said several episodes will be cut this season. Chopra plays FBI recruit ‘Alex Parrish’ who eventually works for the CIA.

Chopra is the first South Asian actress to have a leading role in an American TV series. Blair Underwood and Marcia Cross are also in the cast of ‘Quantico.’ Chopra recently revealed that she does her stunts on the show. She said, “I trust my own body, and I know what I can and can not do.” The actress revealed recently that she met Markle four years ago an Elle Magazine TV dinner for women in the entertainment industry. Chopra the two had an instant connection, they were both filming TV shows in Canada when they met.

Chopra said season one of ‘Quantico’ was filmed in Canada, but the last two seasons were filmed in New York. Chopra recently wrote a tribute to her friend Markle in ‘Time Magazine’. She said, “This ever loving strong free spirit found her prince and feel in love. This made a cynical world believe in fairy tales again. But more importantly Meghan is an influence in a world that needs strong public figures to respect and look up to. People can be inspired by her.” Chopra said of her friend, “I’m really happy for her. I guess as a friend I wish her the world, this is a really big move and it will be a big change for her.”
