Randy Jackson Says Sister Janet Jackson Was Abused By Her Estranged Husband

Randy Jackson,55, of the iconic ‘Jackson 5’ is opening up for the first time about his sister’s ongoing emotional turmoil. Randy spoke to ‘People Magazine’ and said ‘his sister was verbally abused and felt like a prisoner in her own home.  Janet,51, married Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana in 2012, this was Janet’s third marriage. The couple had a son Eissa on January 3rd of this year, the baby is currently with Janet on her world tour. Randy said “enough is enough”, he said the entire situation with his sister and Al Mana, is very troubling and disturbing.

The ex couple have been embroiled in a legal custody battle in London since April, shortly after Janet announced the split. In April announced via her Twitter account, that she and Al Mana were divorcing. She said “Yes, I separated from my husband, we are in court now, and the rest is in God’s hands.” Randy was at his younger sister’s side during the separation announcement. The two siblings have always been extremely close. Jackson suspended her 8th world tour ‘State of The World Tour’ during her pregnancy.


She recently resumed her tour, she will appear tomorrow night at the AT&T center in San Antonio, Texas. The tour will take her through the mid west, and the western United States, go through Canada and end on December 17th in Atlanta, Georgia. Randy has been attending court proceedings with his sister in London. He said the “relationship was extremely abusive.” Randy claims the relationship started to deteriorate in the last 2 years, and resulted in Janet feeling like a prisoner in her own home. He said no one should have to go through that, especially not a pregnant woman. Al Mana said through a spokesperson that he “won’t dignify the abuse allegations with an answer, as the claims are unfounded.”
