Rapper Drake Files A Lawsuit Against A Woman For Extortion

Celebrity lawyer Larry Stein filed a lawsuit on behalf of his client Drake. The lawsuit claims a woman named Layla Lace, is harassing Drake, with claims that she is pregnant with his child. Drake says that he met Lace last year during his tour ‘Boy Meets World Tour’ in Manchester, England. The rapper says he met her in February after a concert, he invited her to his hotel room, where they had a consensual sexual encounter, and he never saw her again. Stein is claiming that Lace thought she would be brought on the remainder of Drake’s tour with him.

Stein said the woman went crazy when he sent her home after the encounter and never called her again. The lawsuit claims that Lace created a false relationship in her mind, and she sent him countless text messages that he never responded to. In April of 2017 the woman went on Sirius radio and said ‘Drake got her pregnant’ and now he’s ignoring her. In May of 2017, Lace hired a lawyer and demanded money for her unborn baby and for defamation, because Drake was telling people he never met her. Drake said Lace refused to take a paternity test, and the whole thing was all a scam to extort money from him.

After no baby was born, Lace changed her story and hired a new lawyer saying Drake raped her during their encounter in England. Drake immediately went to the police to answer to the accusation of rape, the Manchester police cleared Drake shortly after that. Drake claims in the legal filings that Lace after he was cleared demanded millions of dollars for ‘for her to stay silent.’ Drake is now suing Lace for extortion, emotional duress, fraud, defamation, and abuse of process. Drake is asking for unspecified damages.
