Rapper Nelly Arrested In Washington For Allegedly Raping Woman On Tour Bus

Nelly,42, was arrested in Auburn, Washington for allegedly raping a woman on his tour bus. Nelly, whose real name is Cornell Iral Haynes, Jr, was arrested on Saturday morning, after a woman walked into the Auburn police station claim Nelly raped her. The woman said she was on the tour bus and Nelly raped her at around 3:30 am, it’s unclear if Nelly and the woman had a prior relationship. Nelly is strenuously denying the charges, and says he will explore all legal remedies for damages caused to him by false allegations.

The woman told police that the tour bus was parked in a ‘Walmart’ parking lot when the rape occurred. Nelly is currently on tour with the ‘Florida Georgia Line’, and they are all set to perform this weekend in Ridgefield, Washington. Nelly was booked and fingerprinted at 7a.m. Saturday morning, bail was posted a short time later and he was released. Nelly had appeared at the White River Amphitheater in Auburn, WA only a few hours before the rape allegedly occurred. Nelly’s lawyers are claiming that the allegations are false.

The lawyers claim the accuser is seeking money and fame and perhaps has a vendetta against the rapper. Nelly and his legal team are certain upon further investigation he will be cleared of all allegations. The rapper and father of two had been previously arrested in 2015, for felony drug and weapon possession. In a June interview Nelly said he takes marriage very seriously and he is not yet ready to tie the knot with his long term girlfriend, Shantel Jackson. Nelly said “The thing about marriage to me is, I take it very seriously. It’s something I’m only going to do one time. When or if the time is right, the time is right.I want to leave this earth knowing I loved someone and someone loved me.”
