Rapper Nipsey Hussle Shot Dead Outside Of His Clothing Store In Los Angeles

Rapper Nipsey Hussle was shot late Sunday outside of his clothing store in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. Hussle opened ‘The Marathon Clothing Company’ in 2017, to
bring some ‘opportunity to the neighborhood’ the rapper said. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, three people including Hussle, were shot in the store, Hussle died in the hospital, and the shooter fled the scene shortly after the shooting. An eye witness said he ‘heard multiple shots,and Hussle was shot at least 6 times, twice in the head. The other two victims are reported to be in stable condition.


Hussle whose real name is, Emias Ashhedom was raised in the Crenshaw district of Los Angeles, a short distance from where the store is located. According to a police source Hussle had ties to the Crips gang. He has worked with artists that are known to have ties to the rival gang ‘Bloods.’ Artists like ‘The Game’ and ‘YG’ have worked with Hussle, as well as performed with him. The 33 year old rapper had been releasing mixed tapes for the last ten years. He officially released the album, ‘Victory Lap’ last year. Hussle was nominated for a Grammy a month ago for ‘Best Rap Album’, he lost to Cardi B.

Hussle has had several scrapes with the law, and got into a brawl at a club in West Hollywood in December of 2018. Several people ended up in a hospital after the brawl broke out, and it was determined that, Hussle was mistaken for someone else. Hussle tweeted ‘Having Strong Enemies is a Blessing,” only hours before the Sunday shooting. Hussle has a two year old daughter, Emani with actress Lauren London. Hussle had been working on a documentary about Alfredo Bowman known as ‘Dr. Sebi, a famed herbalist and healer from Honduras. Hussle routinely lashed out against pharmaceutical companies, calling ‘them all corrupt and on the take.’
