Ricky Gervais Comes To Defense Of Friend Louis C.K. After Latest Controversy

Funny man Ricky Gervais says that his friend fellow comedian Louis C.K. “can say whatever the fu** he wants.” Louis finds himself as the center of controversy as a leaked tape of a New York stand up routine surfaced. Gervais made it very clear where he stands on the subject. He said, “Please stop saying you can’t joke about anything anymore, you can. You can joke about whatever the fu** you like.
And some people won’t like it, and they will tell you they don’t like it. And then it’s up to you whether you give a fu** or not. And so on, it’s a good system.”

Gervais wasn’t finished with his rant, he continued, “There is no subject that is out of bounds. People often get offended when they mistake the subject of a joke with the actual target. It all depends on the joke.” Responses were fast, one person on Twitter responded to Gervais, by saying, “Mmmm people who laugh at jokes about kids getting shot in school or as***les and I will not miss a chance to point that out to them. Ever. Repeatedly.” Gervais told the person, he has every right to voice his opinion.

Another person said, “Must be nice to have the privilege to say and do what you like.” Gervais said, “Free speech is amazing yes.” Someone else asked the comic if it was ok to joke about animal cruelty Gervais was not backing down, he said, “Of course you can. You can joke about anything. Just don’t be cruel to animals. You can joke about murdering people. Just don’t murder anyone. It;s really simple.” Louis joked about survivors of the high school shooting in Parkland, Florida last February. Louis said that the high school students are not interesting just because they survived a school shooting. He added ‘now he’s forced to listen them, because they pushed some fat kid out of the way.’
