Roseanne Barr Continues Her Twitter Tirade After Her Hit Show Is Canceled

The ABC rebooted ‘Roseanne’ was canceled by the network on Tuesday after it’s star Roseanne Barr posted a racist Tweet. Barr targeted former President Obama’s adviser Valerie Jarrett. Barr tweeted that a mixture of ‘Planet of The Apes and Muslim Brotherhood equals VJ’. The blow-back was swift by ABC, they canceled her show four hours after the now deleted tweet was posted. The comedienne blamed the drug Ambien for her Jarrett remark. Late Tuesday night she she apologized to the hundreds of people that lost their jobs over her tweet.

Barr said “don’t feel sorry for me guys. I just want to apologize to the hundreds of people and wonderful writers (all liberal) and talented actors who lost their jobs on my show due to my stupid tweet. I will be on Joe Rogan’s podcast on Friday.” Barr had several people coming to her defense. They called out ABC to do something about funny lady Joy Behar who is one of the hosts of the long running talk show ‘The View’. Behar said that Christians like Vice President Mike Pence are mentally ill.’ Behar apologized to Pence by saying she was raised Catholic and should have known better. She is still on the show as a host.

Barr’s talent agent ‘ICM’ dropped her as a client, saying “we longer represent Roseanne Barr’ The newly rebooted show reruns were pulled from the network. The president of ABC Channing Dungey said in a statement, “Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, so we decided to cancel her show.”She told her fans not to defend her, because what she said was wrong and stupid. She retweeted several of her fans tweets that contained racist and disturbing content. Before the show was canceled, Sara Gilbert who played Barr’s daughter on the show, denounced Barr saying, “I am disappointed in her actions to say the least.”
