Ryan Edwards Of ‘MTV’s Teen Mom’ Arrested For Heroin Possession

Ryan Edwards of ‘Teen Mom OG’ has been arrested in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Edwards,30, was arrested at his Tennessee home for a probation violation. According to a police representative from Red Bank City, Edwards had previously had a felony for possession of heroin, the father of one was found to be in possession of the drug again. He was taken into custody Tuesday evening and was released on a $5,000 bond early Wednesday morning. Edwards’ struggle with drugs has been heavily documented on the long running reality show. He is an original cast member starting with ’16 & Pregnant’ in June 2009.

He has also been featured on the spin off ‘Teen Mom’ since 2009. Edwards and his former girlfriend Maci Bookout have a son Bentley age,9. Edwards married Mackenzie Standifer last year and are expecting a child later this year. Edwards reluctantly admitted to an addiction to heroin after he was filmed falling asleep while driving a car, with his future wife in the passenger seat. He completed a 30 day rehab stint in Texas in May of 2017. Many wondered out loud if 30 days of treatment was enough for the troubled father.

After his release from rehab Edwards issued a statement, “I am back home now doing well, and life could not be better. Without the support of my parents and wife, I would not have been able to do this. Thank you all for your well wishes.” In an episode of the MTV show in December, Edwards talked about his addiction. His wife said that he was spending over 10k a week on the drug. This stunning turn events comes only a day after Edwards and his 21 year old wife, Mackenzie announced the pregnancy. Bookout has yet to comment on her ex’s arrest, a source close to Maci says this latest arrest will defiantly effect Ryan’s visitation with Bentley.
