Sandra Bullock’s Father & Two Beloved Dogs Died In The Last Month

Actress Sandra Bullock is in deep mourning for her father John Bullock,93, died on September 18th, he was a decorated World War II veteran. Bullock was at the Elle Celebration for women on Monday. She was there to introduce her close friend actress Sarah Paulson. When Bullock took the podium she said, “I was going to write a nice speech about all the things I like about Sarah Paulson. Sarah Catherine Paulson, she likes it when you use her middle name. But it’s been a crappy few weeks. My dad died and my two dogs died. You turn on the television or computer and it’s just endless tragedies.”

Bullock’s boyfriend Bryan Randall has been a constant source of support to the Oscar winning actress. The actress and mother was promoting her movie ‘Ocean’s 8 when her father passed away. She starred in the movie with Paulson, who called Bullock “a brilliant actress.” Bullock said since she’s in such a bad mood she would say not so nice things about Paulson. She said,” I don’t like the fact that she can wear things that look like a child threw highlighters on it. Or that she dissembled her grandmother’s couch and reassembled it with safety pins, and can still take your breath away when she walks on the red carpet.”

Bullock also mentioned Bullock’s girlfriend actress Holland Taylor who was in the audience. Bullock said, “I don’t like that her and Holland’s joy for life and each other reminds me that I need to be a better girlfriend.” She talked about her dog Poppy that she recently had to ‘put to sleep’ after battling an illness. Bullock also talked about the importance of having close girlfriends. She said, “They provide support systems and help each other deal with stress and difficulties in life physically.” She thanked Paulson ‘for being a good friend.’ Paulson thanked Bullock for being there, because “I know you don’t do these events often.”
