Scott Baio Fights Back Against Sexual Molestation Claims By Nicole Eggert

Actor Scott Baio,57, has mounted a very vigorous defense against his former ‘Charles In Charge’ co-star, actress Nicole Eggert,46, Eggert has been asserting for a few years that Baio sexually molested her when she was 14 years old. The show ran for five seasons from 1984 to 1989. Baio admits to having had a consensual sexual encounter with Eggert after the show stopped airing when she was between the ages of 19 and 20. Baio took to his official Facebook page, and posted a 16 minute video filmed by his wife Renee. In the video Baio goes through the time line of events.

His wife could be heard in the background ‘coaching’ her husband. Baio points out that Eggert never went to the police with her allegations, but goes to ‘social media’ instead. The actor also said that Eggert was always a good friend to him and his wife. She’s been in our home many times, the actor said, and ‘I would see her at events through the years and everything was very cordial and friendly.’ Baio also talks about another of his former co-stars on the show, Alexander Polinsky.

The former child actor and Eggert have been teaming up and accusing Baio of improper behavior on the ‘Charles in Charge’ set, Baio claims. Baio has been married to his wife Renee Sloan Baio a former Playboy Playmate since 2007. The couple have a daughter Bailey Baio,10, who was born premature with a rare metabolic disorder. Baio pointed out that his late father Mario Baio, who was his manager, was always on the set, and when Polinsky was not filming he was with a tutor in the studio classroom. He called Eggert’s accusations ‘horrible’, and implied that she was simply looking for attention with her false claims. Baio said he sent both Eggert and Polinsky ‘Cease and Desist’ letters, and will pursue legal remedies against them.
