Singer Carrie Underwood Suffers Multiple Injuries After Falling Outside Of Her Nashville Home

Country singer Carrie Underwood,34, fell outside of her home, and suffered multiple injuries including a broken wrist. Her husband of seven years, Mike Fisher traveled back to Nashville to be with her. A representative for the singer told ‘People Magazine’ that Underwood was being treated at a hospital for multiple injuries including deep abrasions and a badly broken wrist. Her recovery the rep said will ‘take some time, and she added ‘Carrie appreciates all the prayers and well wishes.’

Underwood herself thanked her fans via Twitter, and said “glad I’ve got the best hubby in the world to take care of me.” Underwood was slated to appear at the ‘Country Rising’ charity event on Sunday, November 12. Due to her serious injuries she had to cancel her appearance. The proceeds from the Sunday event will be used for Hurricane and Las Vegas recovery relief efforts.  The event has a mega lineup of country music stars, including Jason Aldean, Sam Hunt, Keith Urban, Rebe McEntire, Little Big Town and others.

Underwood hosted the Country Music Awards (CMA) at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN four days ago. The mom of a 2 year old son, Isaiah Fisher took to the stage to sing an emotional rendition of ‘Softy and Tenderly’, as the screen behind her moralized country singers who passed away in the last year. Some of those artists were, Glen Campbell, Troy Gentry and Don Williams. About 60 seconds before the end of the song, the pictures of the 58 victims that died in the Las Vegas mass shooting on October 1st, also flashed on the screen. Underwood was also nominated for ‘female vocalist of the year’ she lost to Miranda Lambert. Chris Stapleton won for male vocalist of the year, and Garth Brooks won for overall entertainer of the year.
