Sofia Vergara And Ex Nick Loeb Locked In Battle Over Frozen Embryos

‘Modern Family’ actress is locked in a lengthily court battle with her ex fiancee Nick Loeb over frozen embryos. The former couple were dating from 2012 to 2014, they had two embryos frozen while they were a couple. Vegara married actor Joe Manganiello six months after her break up with Loeb. Vergara wants the embryos destroyed but Loeb has petitioned the court in California to keep them and allow them to continue to grow. Vergera is telling anyone that will listen that Loeb’s only purpose is to break up her marriage to Manganiello. Loeb has a daughter from a relationship with another woman that was born last October.

Vegara’s lawyers are saying that since Loeb has a child, his quest to keep the embryos of a former partner is all about vengeance nothing more. The lawsuit was moving slowly in California, to move things along Loeb moved the case to Louisiana. In order for the suit to move forward there Loeb had to have residency in the ‘pro life state’. The native and long time resident of California now lives in Plaqemines Parish, LA. Loeb a wealthy finance trader, who was also an actor and producer, and owns a a very successful food line, has set up a trust fund for the embryos.

Loeb has named the embryos Emma and Isabella, and promises to ‘continue to fight for the lives of his unborn children.’ Vergara says that Loeb never lives in the house in Louisiana, he bought it just to continue with this lawsuit. Nick’s legal team, Pierre Miller and Jasha McQueen claim that Loeb has a LA drivers license and votes in the state. He has to prove that he is a legal resident of Louisiana, and once he does the suit can move forward in the state. Loeb’s lawyers are confident that their client will prevail in the case.
