The surviving members of the iconic 70’s hit show ‘The Brady Bunch’ are together again. The actors that played the 6 Brady siblings, Greg, Marcia, Peter, Jan, Bobby and Cindy gathered at the home used for the exterior of their show. This is the first time the cast has been together in 15 years, The occasion is the kick off of the new ‘HGTV’ show, ‘A Very Brady Renovation’. The six actors mingled with ‘Property Brothers’ Drew and Jonathan Scott. The brothers who have their own show on the network, will be in charge of the renovation.
The house was sold to ‘HGTV’ in August for nearly 3.8 million after a bidding war that included Lance Bass. The network plans to restore the home back into a total 70’s decor. The house located at 11222 Dilling St, North Hollywood, has attracted fans of the show from around the world, that wanted to be pictured in front of it. The show will hit the airwaves in 2019, with famous guests popping in during the season. Loren Ruch of ‘HGTV’ said “It will be the first time in history that a house from our childhood memories will be recreated into a brick and mortar location.”
Lance Bass said he would be involved in the renovation, after working out a deal with ‘HGTV’ Maureen McCormick who played oldest daughter Marcia said she was considering buying the house, until ‘it became crazy’. McCormick said she’s confident that ‘HGTV’ will do a great job with the renovation, “I’m a big fan of the network” said the former actress. Missing from the cast were Robert Reed who played Mike Brady, died from AIDS in 1992 at 59. After his death it was revealed that Reed was gay and lived a closeted life. Ann B. Davis played Alice the maid died at 88 in 2014. Florence Henderson who played Carol Brady died in 2016 of heart failure at 82.
