Singer Taylor Swift brightened the day of one of her fans. Eight year old Isabella McCune has been hospitalized at the ‘Burn Center at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. The Taylor Swift super fan suffered severe burns over 90% of her body, after a fire pit explosion on March 17th. McCune will not be able to attend any of Swift’s concerts, so the singer brought the concert to her. The child listens to Taylor Swift music non stop in her hospital room. McCune told hospital staff the music gives her the strength to continue fighting.
The child’s mother, Lilly McCune told ‘People Magazine’ that Swift taking time out from her busy schedule to visit her daughter, has meant the world to the entire family. McCune, said Swift sat down on the bed next to Isabella’s. Swift showed up with a bag of goodies from her current concert tour. Swift told the girl that after hearing her story she just had to come in person to meet her. Swift told the young fan, “I’m so inspired by your story, and touched that my music means so much to you.” When Swift was getting ready to leave Isabella asked her for a hug.
Swift said ‘absolutely’ and said she was concerned that she would hurt her, but Swift gave the child a hug ‘that she will remember for her lifetime’. Lilly said that there was no heads up regarding Swift’s visit. She had no idea she was coming to visit her daughter until she walked into her room with a yellow hospital gown on. She said, “Her parents came too, and they were the sweetest people. It meant so much to me and my husband as parents. We have so much respect for them in how they raised her.”
