Singer Taylor Swift, has never commented on her political views, but that changed over the weekend. The superstar pop singer encouraged her 100 million plus followers to register to vote, and expressed the importance in doing so. Swift said she will be voting in her home state of Tennessee this November 6th, and due to the current political climate she decided to let her fans know who she will be voting for. “The singer said, “I’ve been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world I feel differently about it now.”
The singer continued,”I cannot vote for someone who will not be willing to fight for the dignity of ALL Americans, no matter their skin color, race, or who they love. The GOP candidate for the Tennessee senate race is Marsha Blackburn. Swift said that in the past, she has always tried to support putting more women in public office.
