Tina Turner’s Son Craig Turner Commits Suicide At 59

The oldest child of legendary Tina Turner, Craig Turner committed suicide at 59. Turner was a Realtor in Studio City, Ca. He was found in his Studio City condo, by a concerned co-worker, The condo was owned by his mother Tina Turner. The Grammy award winning singer had Turner when she was 18. His biological father was Raymond Hill a saxophonist who played in Ike Turner’s band. When Tina married Ike Turner, Craig was legally adopted by Ike Turner. A neighbor of Turner’s said Craig, “was a very private man, I rarely saw him with anyone except a few males friends.”

The police reported that Turner shot himself in the back of head, and there was no note left. Another neighbor said she didn’t hear anything out of Turner’s condo. She said due to the close proximity of the building to Universal Studios, a lot of noise is common. She added, “No, I didn’t hear gunshots, I heard two rounds of fireworks, and thought that’s a little early. It could have possibly been that.” Another neighbor, Moon Hee Nam lived on the same floor as Turner for four years. Hee said she saw Turner all the time, and she thought that Turner could have been found by his sister-in-law, who she saw crying near the front door of Turner’s unit.

A co-worker of Turner’s Deborah Beardsley, is the office administrator of Rodeo Realty in Studio City.
Beardsley said Turner started working for the realty group two years ago. She remembered him as kind heart-ed and funny, and added he never talked about his famous parents. Beardsley said just because he had a life with a glamorous ‘Hollywood family’ doesn’t mean all was well. Turner never talked about his family and had no ties to Hollywood himself. Before becoming a Realtor, Turner sold shoes in a high end shoe store in Beverly Hills. Tina Turner lives in Switzerland with her husband Erwin Bach.
