The owner told ‘NBC News’ that he and Hansen were going back and forth about how he was going to recover the money. In April of 2018, Hanson gave the owner another check, to cover the bad check, and it too bounced. Sgt Sean Scanlan of the Stamford Police department said Hanson refused to speak with the police about the bounced checks so they issued a warrant for his arrest. Hansen hosted ‘To Catch A Predator on NBC’s Dateline for several year.
