Trista Sutter, was vacationing with her family in Croatia, when suffered a massive seizure today. Sutter was sent by ambulance to a local hospital where she still remains. Sutter,44, was pictured with tubes and patches and a hospital gown on her social media pages. The reality star said this was an “eye opening” experience, and one she will not soon forget. Sutter wrote “Two hours after I fell on my daughter’s chest and she watched, along with her brother and grandparents, in confusion and horror as her mommy stared blankly off into the distance and started to turn blue.”
Sutter said she was unconscious and during the phase she felt she was in a “white euphoric space”. She said the first thing she remembers after that is the voice of her husband Ryan Sutter, 42, calling her name.” Sutter said Ryan brought her back and she is now re-evaluating everything, “I have an expiration date.” Sutter met and married her husband on the ‘ABC’ reality show ‘The Bachelorette’ in 2003. The couple have two children, Max, 10 and daughter Blakesley,8. The children and Sutter’s parents were all vacationing together in Croaita. Ryan is an Eagle County firefighter, the family lives near Vail, Colorado.
Trista said she always thought when she died it would be after her children were adults, and married with children of their own, living their lives and pursing their dreams. This experience has changed everything, “I was reminded that the time can come any time, in any country, whether I’m surrounded by strangers, or people I love, or both or neither.” Sutter thanked her friends, family and “Bachelor Nation” for all the kind words and support. She said “she hopes everyone spreads kindness and lives life to the fullest, because I plan to.”
